The ‘Great Outdoors Show’ goes nationwide

The Great Outdoors Show will take place at two separate key venues this summer providing exhibitors with the ideal platform to meet up with the UK’s ever-growing UK ‘staycation’ market.

2011 is widely expected to be the big staycation year and will see many millions of Brit’s opting to take their holidays here in the UK. However, with UK hotels often not comparable in standard or value to those abroad, plus the recent financial squeeze we’ve been suffering, there is little doubt that the greatest increase in business will be seen by the caravan, camping, motor home and holiday park operators. Dedicated specifically to this market the Great Outdoors Shows offer exhibitors in these and associated sectors a unique opportunity to reach out to their target market.

The North West Great Outdoors Show will take place at Haydock Park, St Helens, Lancashire from April 30th to May 2nd. Ideally situated and within easy distance of Manchester, Liverpool and adjacent towns this event is expected to attract a high number of visitors. As this is the Royal Wedding weekend it will also appeal to all who would like a break from the TV and something just a little bit different.

The South East Great Outdoors Show will take place at the Kent County Showground, Detling in Kentfrom 3rd to 5th June. Situated just 35 miles from London this venue is one of the most popular in the South East. Visitors will also enjoy the evening entertainment which includes music from the UK’s No.1 Coldplay tribute band ‘Coolplay’ as well as ‘The Sleeves’.

Steve Foley, Director of Great Outdoor Shows Ltd explains, “Both shows will be major affairs, featuring four main elements:  Holidays, Park and Retirement Homes, Motor Homes, Caravans and Camping, Complimentary themes and a Helathy Living Show encompassing all kinds of outdoor leisure pursuits and entertainment for outdoor enthusiasts, who are expected to attend in their droves.”

The shows will be strongly promoted by a high profile marketing and media campaign consisting of local press, radio and TV advertising, and 80,000 Doordrop Invitations and Competition Entries.

The organiser currently still has a limited number of spaces available for exhibitors and there are discounts for those who choose to exhibit at both the North and South show. Both the timing of the shows and the highly populated catchment areas provide a great commercial opportunity for any business in the leisure market.
