Sixt receives certification for high quality services

Sixt AG, Germany’s leading car rental company and international provider of high quality mobility services, has received management certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. The company was certified by DEKRA Certification which at the same time confirmed the launch of an inte-grated quality and environmental management system at Sixt rent a car. The certification covers the head office in Pullach near Munich as well as all our rental offices in Germany.

As part of the audit, the company was issued certification for its strong customer and en-vironmental focus. “During the auditing process on the ground, Sixt employees clearly demonstrated that they are tremendously motivated and identify strongly with the com-pany,” explained Thomas Bergler, Managing Director of DEKRA Certification GmbH, on presenting the certification.

“Sixt is the leading car rental company in Germany and a service provider in the best sense of the word. We are always striving to make the rental process both easier and more convenient for our customers,” explains Detlev Pätsch, Chief Operations Officer of Sixt AG. “The widely recognised certification awarded to us by DEKRA is real confirma-tion that we give the needs and desires of our customers top priority and at the same time underlines our commitment to an environmentally friendly approach. However, we are not resting on our laurels, instead we are putting all our efforts into making our ser-vices even better.”

The new quality management system means that structures and internal communication channels are being put under the microscope, with the focus on customers and employ-ees as well as their needs and desires. An established environmental system also en-sures that environmental protection regulations are adhered to, resources are conserved and environmental standards are constantly improved. Sixt is adopting the paperless office which means that documents are to be stored electronically rather than printed out and filed away. Customer petrol stations as well as car wash and fuelling facilities rele-vant to an environmentally friendly approach are checked on a regular basis and are kept up to date with the latest technology.
