Sixt AG, Germany’s leading car rental company and international provider of high quality mobility services, is offering its customers especially attractive rates with the slogan “QuickCheck-in = Upgrade included!” Customers using the new, convenient QuickCheck-in terminal to rent a vehicle will automatically receive a free upgrade to the next highest vehicle class. The QuickCheck-in terminals will gradually replace the CarExpress machines.

The new QuickCheck-in terminals make the car rental process easier, faster and more convenient. Customers can choose their vehicle via touch screen in four simple steps thanks to specially developed software. The terminals offer a choice of up to three vehicles, accept bonus programme cards, automatically checks if customers are in line for an upgrade and enable easy booking of extras such as winter tyres. Customers simply need a reservation as well as the Sixt Express Master Agreement and then can get behind the wheel of their desired vehicle in no time at all. Sixt Express Card holders aren’t the only ones to benefit, all customers renting with a credit card automatically receive the Master Agreement at the Sixt counter after the first rental. This allows every Sixt customer to benefit from Express services like the new QuickCheck-in terminal.

Terminals are currently operating in Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg as well as in Munich and will be available shortly in many other European airports. The upgrade promotion will run through to March 31, 2009. Sixt introduced the idea of self-service rentals with CarExpress. The CarExpress machines enabled fast and uncomplicated rentals, without ever having to visit the rental counter.
