Seychelles and Madagascar Tourism Ministers meet and continue cooperation discussions
Tourism Ministers Alain St.Ange from the Seychelles and Jean Max Rakotomamonjy from Madagascar surrounded by their delegation made time at the International French Travel Market in Paris to meet to pursue discussions on cooperation between Madagascar and Seychelles in the framework of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Organization.
Discussions between the two Tourism Ministers centered on air access between the two island nations and within the region, the plans of action for the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Organization, trade between Madagascar and Seychelles, as well as the support of Madagascar for the Carnaval International de Victoria that is staged annually in Seychelles as the Vanilla Islands carnival and the support by Seychelles for the Tourism Trade Fair organized annually in Madagascar as the Regional Tourism Trade Fair.
Both Ministers expressed their firm commitment for working together and for advancing the cause of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Regional Body, which is now working to hold their next Minister’s meeting in La Reunion in mid-October.
The meeting between Minister Alain St.Ange and Minister Jean Max Rakotomamonjy was attended by Vola Raveloson and Eric Koller from Madagascar and Bernadette Willemin of the Seychelles.
