SAS to come to the rescue of BA customers in light of strike action

Scandinavian Airlines has announced today measures to help BA passengers as much as possible after hearing the reconfirmation that BA crew will be striking and could walk out as early as Thursday 20 May in the evening.

In addition to flights operating a full schedule, SAS will be looking at flying larger aircraft and allowing BA Gold Executive Club cardholders access to SAS Lounges worldwide when travelling with SAS.

Passengers wishing to take up this offer on strike days should present their BA Gold card to SAS lounge staff.

SAS will do all it can to help BA customers get to their final destination. What’s more there are a number of products currently on offer from SAS that will ensure former BA passengers can travel in comfort affordably.

For example, when travelling to Scandinavia or Finland, SAS offers a unique premium economy class service, Economy Extra allowing savings over £100.

Economy Extra fare is £113* less than BA’s equivalent fare – and gives business passengers a new way of travelling, providing business class check-in facilities and fully flexible fares with no restrictions. Economy Extra passengers are seated in a dedicated area between the business and economy sections, receive a complimentary meal with drinks and can earn extra frequent flyer points.
