Qantas Airways has announced the appointment of a new regional general manager for the UK & Ireland, Eric Jelinek.

Eric recently commenced the role after a transition from Sydney where he was based for his most recent role at Qantas as head of in-flight services.

Previous to this he was responsible for setting up the UK Cabin Crew company and with over 25 years experience in the airline industry, working with British Airways and Qantas in a variety of roles and markets, Eric is ideally suited to lead the UK & Ireland team.

Commenting on his appointment Jelinek said: “It is particularly exciting for me to take up this role at a time when the Qantas business has created two dedicated divisions, International and Domestic, to focus on the specific challenges and opportunities that each operating division faces.”
