PRCO has been appointment as UK public relations representatives for Half Moon, a legendary luxury resort in Montego Bay on Jamaica’s northern coast.

This year sees the re-launch of the resort’s famous Sugar Mill Restaurant, which will offer authentic Jamaican food with a modern day twist.

Set on 400 acres of lush tropical grounds, the five-star Half Moon resort boasts two miles of private beach wrapped around a half-moon-shaped bay that used to house the loading dock for the historic Rose Hall sugar plantation.

Beloved by influential guests through the decades such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis and the British royal family, Half Moon celebrated 60 years in hospitality in 2014.

The resort features beautiful colonial-style buildings scattered throughout the parkland, home to 197 rooms and suites featuring individually decorated with locally sourced furnishings and textiles.

The resort’s 68,000 sq. ft. Fern Tree Spa, the largest in Jamaica, combines modern-day techniques with Jamaican traditional healing remedies.

The spa offers an extensive menu of multi-sensorial treatments using local ingredients such as lemongrass, cerasee and rum.

The Fern Tree Spa also houses two overwater spa bungalows, a fitness centre, relaxation lounge, steam room and sauna, yoga pavilion, hydrotherapy swimming pool, labyrinth gardens and several water features.
