Ital Café debuts at Half Moon in Jamaica
Luxury Jamaican hotel Half Moon has added its first vegan eatery, Ital Café, to its award-winning collection of culinary offerings.
Housed within the Fern Tree Spa and in keeping with the natural and holistic surroundings, Ital Café makes the most of the plentiful Jamaican sunlight by embracing the concept of ‘sunfired food’.
Working in partnership with Aris Latham, considered to be the father of gourmet ethical raw food cuisine in America, Ital Café grows fresh, organic fruit, vegetables and herbs to be used on their menu.
By replacing high-heat processing methods and instead relying on produce being cooked by the sun, the café makes sure its guests receive the best that the earth has to offer in order to help sustain a healthy lifestyle.
With a menu featuring raw vegan dishes such as jerk eggplant steak, and cold-pressed beverages including sorrel cooler, the café’s innovative offerings are sure to attract both vegans and meat-eaters alike, for a meal unlike any other.
Half Moon is considered the Caribbean’s Leading Conference Hotel by voters at the prestigious World Travel Awards.
