Oman Air’s website now accepts debit card bookings

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has enhanced its website and now accepts debit card payments. This additional feature will benefit those customers who do not own credit cards, but who wish to purchase Oman Air’s ticket over the internet.

The ability to buy Oman Air tickets online using a credit card was first introduced in July 2006. Now www.omanair.com accepts debit/prepaid/ATM cards issued with “Visa” or “MasterCard” logos, offering customers greater convenience and time-savings.

The website is fully secured and card transactions are encrypted for customers’ security. If the customer’s card-issuing bank has activated the “Verified by Visa” or “Secured by MasterCard” service to secure the online purchase, Oman Air’s website supports this additional security feature as well.

Oman Air’s latest initiative underlines its commitment to offering customers the very best of everything that air travel has to offer and comes after a year in which the airline has been at the forefront of technological innovation. In addition to in-flight connectivity, the airline has introduced a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system, featuring audio and video on demand and live satellite TV, as well as launching a new fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft and expanding its network to include a range of exciting new destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
