New leadership for Banyan Tree in United Arab Emirates

Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach, both in the United Arab Emirates, have announced the appointment of Axel Jarosch to the position of general manager.

Jarosch brings a wealth of over 20 years’ experience to the two Banyan Tree resorts, including over six years working in the MENA region.

Prior to joining Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, he held a number of management roles in the hospitality industry, most recently as general manager at Six Senses Zighy Bay.

As operations director based in Abu Dhabi, Jarosch was responsible for the hotel openings of Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas and before this he was general manager with Anantara in Oman, Bali and Indonesia during their pre-opening stages.

Jarosch has held managerial positions at Per AQUUM, Constance Hotels, InterContinental Hotel Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Group.

In addition to his time in the Gulf, he has worked in Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, Namibia and Mauritius.

Jarosch will work closely with the resort teams at Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach to oversee and manage smooth operations between the two resorts and ensure a continued high standard of guest satisfaction, along with achieving business targets.

Banyan Tree Al Wadi presents an exclusive desert experience, with 101 villas emulating Bedouin tents or traditional mud hut houses, but exquisitely designed using local materials.

Surrounded by rolling desert sand dunes and a wildlife centre with its resident gazelles, oryx, camels, falcons and eagles, Banyan Tree Al Wadi brings nature closer to guests through learning the art of falconry or horse-riding.
