National Car Rental, the premier car rental brand for frequent airport travellers, is launching its annual Rent Rent RewardSM Emerald Club promotion. This year marks the sixth consecutive year that National has offered the Rent Rent Reward promotion to registered Emerald Club members offering one free rental day for every two qualifying rentals (or two or more days), with no limit on free days earned. The promotion runs from Aug. 20, 2012, through Jan. 31, 2013. 

“From the very beginning, the ‘Rent Rent Reward’ promotion was designed to offer special rewards to our loyal Emerald Club members as a way to say ‘thank you’ for choosing the National Car Rental brand,” said Rob Connors, assistant vice president for National.  “Six years later, we are pleased to continue offering this rewards program to new and current members who rely on the Emerald Club for speed and convenience during their business and leisure travel.”

Customers can join National’s Emerald Club at www.emeraldclubpromos.com/rentrentreward/2012/ and immediately begin participating in the “Rent Rent Reward” promotion. There are no fees to join and new members can begin to enjoy faster service at airports and free upgrades in National’s “Emerald Aisle.” 

To be eligible for the “Rent Rent Reward” promotion, Emerald Club members must register at www.emeraldclubpromos.com/rentrentreward/2012/. There is no limit to the number of free days earned between Aug. 20, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013, and participating members can also earn a free rental day for referring a friend or colleague to the Emerald Club in addition to their standard program rewards for all rentals. Upon registering for the promotion, members can encourage friend referrals by sharing the “Rent Rent Reward” registration link via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Emerald Club members can redeem “Rent Rent Reward” free rental days between Sept. 10, 2012, and June 15, 2013.  Redemption includes up to three free rental days at any time, including weekends. In keeping with the speed and convenience of the Emerald Club rental experience, National notifies participants about their free rental days via email.  Free rental days can be redeemed at the rental counter, through the reservation telephone number or when reserving online via the National website at www.nationalcar.ca.

The Emerald Club – the car rental industry’s first comprehensive frequent-renter program –expedites the rental process for Emerald Club members by offering counter bypass at all of its nearly 300 locations, as well as access to National’s “Emerald Aisle,” an exclusive section of the lot where members can select any vehicle as long as they reserve a mid-sized car. In addition, Emerald Club members can choose to receive EmeraldAlertsSM – emailed communications that include Arrival and Return Alerts, and Drop & GoSM service with convenient eReceipts.
