More train service rolling out in Orange County

Additional Metrolink service began this month in Orange County. Four new weekday trips are now taking passengers between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Fullerton, making all stops along the Orange County line. From Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo, riders can catch the new service at 8:50 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. From Fullerton, trains will leave at 10:00 a.m. and 1:35 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, four additional trips will be added starting Saturday between Los Angeles and Oceanside along the Orange County line. The added trains will depart Los Angeles Union Station at 8:55 a.m. and 2 p.m. and leave from Oceanside at 11:22 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

“Whether you’re going to work, a baseball game or heading to the beach, Metrolink is a convenient and affordable alternative to driving,” said OCTA Chairman Paul Glaab, also a Metrolink board member and Laguna Niguel mayor. “We are very excited to roll out more train service and make it easier for people to leave their cars at home.
