Manchester Airport hit by fog diversions
Eight flights have been diverted from Manchester Airport overnight due to fog in the local area and poor visibility.
Four have since returned and the remaining flights are expected to return during the morning.
Passengers on those flights are currently being returned to Manchester by coach.
Flights are now landing as usual at the airport.
“Departures are leaving as normal this morning, although there may be minor delays as a knock on from the morning’s weather conditions,” a spokesperson for the airport said earlier.
Passengers travelling today are asked to check with their airline or tour operator for the latest information.
