Korean Air expands codeshare deal with LAN Peru
Korean Air, the flag carrier of South Korea, has announced a new codeshare agreement with LAN Peru, offering travellers a convenient connection to Lima and linking Lima with more destinations worldwide.
The two airlines have obtained regulatory approval to codeshare on Seoul-Los Angeles-Lima route, updating an original 2005 codeshare agreement of Seoul-Los Angeles-Santiago.
The new agreement will allow Korean Air passengers to connect at Los Angeles onto LAN Peru flights to Lima.
LAN Peru passengers will be able to travel on Korean Air between Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea.
The LAN Peru flights operate daily between the two cities.

The flights from Los Angeles depart at 00:15, arriving Lima at 10:55 the same day.
Conversely, departing flights from Lima leave at 12:40 to arrive in Los Angeles at 19:20.
Among Korean Air’s two to three flights to Los Angeles a day, the codeshare flight for connections to Lima departs from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport at 20:00 and arrives in Los Angeles at 15:10 the same day.
The return flights depart from Los Angeles at 23:30 to arrive in Incheon International Airport at 04:40 two days later because of the time difference (South Korea is 16 hours ahead of Los Angeles).
The free sale codeshare agreement between Korean Air and LAN Peru allows both airlines to sell seats on each other´s flights and thereby enhancing passengers’ travel convenience.
Travellers will also benefit from single check-in for codeshare flights.
Korean Air currently has codeshare partnerships with 29 airlines on 186 routes worldwide, including Sky Team partner airlines such as Delta and Air France.
