KDS expands mobile platform to Android and iPhone

KDS, a global provider of integrated travel and expense management software, has today announced that they are bringing their mobile app to iPhone and Android devices in the coming weeks. KDS Mobile gives users full access to their travel itinerary on-the-go and allows them to create their expense reports wherever and whenever they choose. The Android and iPhone apps will launch in their respective app store before mid July.

KDS Mobile, which is already available to existing KDS customers on Blackberry, offers many of the features of the KDS Corporate package in the palm of the hand. Users can see details of their flights, rail travel, rental cars and accommodation with a smart view that filters information based on their current needs. KDS Mobile also allows travellers to create expense claims at their own convenience, and the ability to take pictures of receipts with their phone’s camera and attach them to individual expense lines means users can have their expenses completed and ready for submission before they even get back to the office.

For managers, KDS Mobile offers even further efficiencies by allowing travel requests and expense claims to be viewed and approved quickly and simply through their phone. This can help to avoid the best fares being lost due to late approvals, saving companies both time and money.

“We are proud to be bringing KDS Mobile to the iPhone and Android devices,” said Dean Forbes, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at KDS. “Our original Blackberry offering has been a huge success so it is only natural that we bring this power to the two other prevalent mobile devices – Android and iPhone. The ability to understand, manipulate and approve on the go is critical for our clients who are often operating mobile workforces. Mobility is a primary area of focus for KDS and we have even more exciting capabilities to follow later in the year.”

KDS Mobile for Android will be released on June 28th in the Android Market with the iPhone version set to launch during July in the App Store, coinciding with the latest update of KDS Corporate.
