Jenner appointed creative director at Eurostar

Eurostar has announced the appointment of respected international designer Christopher Jenner to the role of creative director.

The newly created position, which is a first in the rail industry, will see Jenner charged with bringing a fresh view and a design-led perspective to new and existing projects across Eurostar’s business.

Eurostar has a long history of employing design as a driver for innovation from the groundbreaking design of its original fleet of trains to its industry leading business class lounges and on-board service.

Jenner’s appointment marks the latest chapter in this story and comes at a time when Eurostar is investing £700 million to deliver a new state-of-the-art fleet.

His brief focuses on the Eurostar customer experience and customers can expect to see the initial results of the collaboration in the near future.

Commenting on the appointment, Nick Mercer, commercial director, Eurostar, said: “The success of our business rests on the strength of our product and we have a long history of breaking the mould to bring our customers the very best travel experience.

“All aspects of the Eurostar physical environment work together to bring our brand to life and our travellers demand and deserve the very best.

“We have some exciting projects in the pipeline which will continue this tradition of innovation and excellence.”
