At the end of December 2009 Innovata had 904 airlines in the SRS database of which 810 operate under their own designator.  During December, on average, 91.67% of the database by volume was updated each week and over the month 99.01% of the database was updated and refreshed.

For the twelve months January 09 – December 09 as a whole Innovata averaged 92.50% of the database being updated each week and 99.06% each month.

Amongst the airlines on base, Innovata have 108 airlines designated as Low Cost Carriers; and 133 airlines who file F and V services (cargo and truck services). A total of 266 airlines currently in the database operate wide body aircraft and /or F and V services.

At the end of December Innovata also had 77,305 minimum connect time exceptions filed.

During 2009 Innovata added 61 airlines to the database, recorded 39 IATA code or airline name changes to currently operating airlines, and recorded 60 airlines that have either ceased operations, suspended operations or merged. For comparison, the 2008 figures were 67 airlines added to the database, 33 IATA code or airline name changes to currently operating airlines, and 91 airlines that either ceased operations, suspended operations or merged during the year.

 

These lists are included in the attached spreadsheet for your information and have been maintained as a running total during the year as Innovata distribute these month end status reports to you. Innovata will start afresh in Jan 2010 tracking these statistics but if anyone is interested Innovata have details of IATA code or airline changes and airlines ceasing operations and merging with dates in MS Excel listings as per the attached for the past 4 years and are available free on request.
