Budget Car Rental today announced its new mobile applications for the Apple iPhone® and devices running on Google’s Android mobile platform.  Available for download at Apple’s “App Store” and Google Play, the free mobile apps allow travelers to make, view, modify or cancel reservations for car rentals at Budget neighborhood and airport locations throughout the United States and Canada.

The Budget mobile applications securely store customer profile information such as the renter’s name, contact information and rental preferences to save travelers valuable time. For additional convenience, the mobile apps also locate the nearest Budget facility using the device’s GPS system.

“Travelers are using their mobile devices to access Budget.com and make reservations more than ever before. In fact, reservations via mobile devices have increased by 110 percent over last year,” said Jeannine Haas, chief marketing officer for Avis Budget Group. “We’re excited to introduce these Budget apps and make it even easier to get away and ‘Go Budget!’”

Travelers looking to save time when renting can also enjoy the benefits of membership in Fastbreak®, Budget’s express rental service. Customers simply sign a Master Rental Agreement which stores all their rental preferences, from vehicle type and ancillary products to optional coverages and payment method. Then, customers can expedite the reservation process and can go straight to their waiting car when picking up the rental vehicle, saving valuable time.
