Eurowings Expands Its Scandinavian Flight Offerings

In response to growing demand, Eurowings nearly doubles its flight portfolio to Scandinavia in 2024, offering 24 routes to destinations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland from Germany.
Reflecting a significant uptick in interest for Northern Europe, Eurowings is set to enhance its connectivity to Scandinavia by nearly doubling its flight portfolio compared to 2019. In the summer of 2024, the airline will operate a total of 24 routes from Germany to key destinations across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, showcasing a strong commitment to catering to the varied interests of travelers seeking the unique allure of the north.

The Scandinavian region, known for its captivating natural phenomena like the northern lights in Tromsø, Norway, and the vibrant city life of its capitals, continues to draw visitors with the promise of ‘Hygge’, ‘Lagom’, and other local experiences. Eurowings, Germany’s largest holiday airline, has recognized this trend and is expanding its offerings to meet the increased demand.

The expanded flight portfolio includes services from all major Eurowings bases in Germany to Scandinavia during the summer of 2024. Key routes include:

From Berlin: Flights to Helsinki, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, and Stockholm, with the winter program extending to Tromsø and Rovaniemi in Lapland.
From Düsseldorf: Services to Tromsø, Bergen, Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, and Stockholm, along with winter flights to Finnish cities Ivalo, Kittilä, Kuusamo, and Kiruna in Sweden.
From Hamburg: Routes to Gothenburg, Oslo, and Stockholm, including winter flights to Tromsø.
From Cologne and Stuttgart: Multiple weekly flights to Stockholm.
This expansion not only enhances Eurowings’ presence in the Scandinavian market but also provides travelers with greater flexibility and more options to explore the cultural richness and natural beauty of Northern Europe. The airline’s investment in increasing the number of available seats and routes to Scandinavia underscores the region’s growing appeal as a year-round destination for tourists from Germany and beyond.

As Eurowings gears up for a busy 2024 summer season, passengers can look forward to easier access to some of Scandinavia’s most sought-after destinations, whether it’s to experience the midnight sun, the serene landscapes, or the welcoming urban environments.
