Recognising that the last thing travellers want after landing from a long flight is to spend time catching a shuttle bus and queuing for their rental vehicle, leading Irish rental provider, Europcar, has launched a new fast-track service at Dublin Airport. Available as an optional upgrade, the new Europcar Express service enables priority in-terminal pick-up allowing customers to simply collect their keys and get on the road without delay.

Europcar Express capitalises on the latest digital innovation to carry out the essential identity and driving license checks online when a vehicle booking is made ahead of travel. Combined with state-of-the-art secure key collection facilities, this means customers can go straight from the terminal building to the Europcar key locker at the short-stay car park to collect their keys and pick up their car. No transit to the rental station and no queuing to confirm their identity and license details before collecting their car.

For peace of mind, Europcar Express also includes a range of other benefits including premium protection, eliminating any excess if the vehicle is damaged or stolen, and glass, tyres and lights protection. Plus 24/7 roadside assistance is available throughout the rental.

How Europcar Express works

Integrated within the booking process – Europcar Express can be selected at the ‘Pay online’ stage, after the customer has selected their dates and vehicle for pick up at Dublin Airport.
Validate identity and driving license details ahead of travel - After completing their booking, the customer receives an email asking them to complete the Europcar Express validation before pickup. Using a smart device with a camera, they can be verified without having to visit a rental desk.
Keys and collection details - Once the validation is complete, Europcar emails the customer with the PIN for their Europcar Express key box and full instructions so that they can collect their keys and go straight to their vehicle.

Europcar Express is also available as an upgrade via the Manage My Booking portal for customers with existing prepaid bookings. And if a Europcar Express customer does not like the car they have been allocated, they can simply return to the in-terminal car park staff or the rental desk at arrivals to request a change, subject to availability.
