Disney Cruise Line’s changes to kids program could benefit disabled junior cruisers

Today Disney Cruise Line announced the ability for children to customize their cruise experience based on the activity rather than by age.

In years past, children and teens were divided into age based groups. This often split siblings into two different programs. The new plan will allow all kids to participate in all youth programs Disney Cruise Line offers. This give families with multiple kids to play together.

For disabled junior cruisers, this is great news. Kids who can benefit from the presence of older siblings while at play will now have a much easier time staying together. It’s worth noting that Disney cruise line staff have always been good about working with parents who wish to stay near their special needs children. Still, this new family play policy can open up a world of possibilities for young disabled cruisers.
