Cvent announces new technology relationship with Hyatt

Cvent, a leading provider of online event management, site selection and event sourcing solutions, has extended its alliance with Hyatt by integrating the Cvent Supplier Network, an electronic Request for Proposal (RFP) platform for meetings and events, with Hyatt’s proprietary sales application, Envision. This technological integration was established after Hyatt experienced a dramatic increase in group business RFP volume as a result of marketing its hotels on the Cvent Supplier Network in 2009. With the influx of group business leads being sent to Hyatt hotels, an integrated solution was necessary to seamlessly transition Cvent’s RFPs to the in-house sales application at Hyatt properties.

“This integration allows for a seamless transfer of data between Cvent and Envision, so that all RFPs sent to full service Hyatt properties through the Cvent Supplier Network will automatically appear in the Envision system,” said Chuck Ghoorah, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cvent. “We are proud to be able to advance our relationship with Hyatt so that we can provide the best possible service to our software users.”

Sales representatives at Hyatt will be able to evaluate Cvent RFPs within the Envision database, speeding up response time and accuracy in quoting. The Envision database contains information about customers as well as Hyatt hotel facilities including guestrooms, meetings and banquet bookings as well as schedules for Hyatt properties worldwide.

“We are very excited about our Envision Integration with Cvent,” said Jack Horne, Vice President, Sales, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. “Because our sales technology is available in every full service Hyatt hotel in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, we expect that this integration will enable planners to obtain faster responses with customized proposals.”
