Catlin appointed hotel manager at 1,000-room Hard Rock Hotel London

Hard Rock Hotel London has appointed Robert Catlin to the role of hotel manager at the soon-to-open property.

Joining general manager Oliver Kahf and sales director Chris Meehan, Catlin is the latest addition to the hotel’s new senior leadership team.

With international experience gained managing large hotels and resorts in the Middle East, as well as multi-award-winning restaurants, Catlin will oversee all operations at the new 1,000-room hotel.

Occupying one of the capital’s most iconic locations, on the corner of Oxford Street and Park Lane opposite Hyde Park, Hard Rock Hotel London is set to open its doors in the spring.

It is a welcome return to London for Catlin, who spent 13 years at The Royal Albert Hall and the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square before moving abroad.

His international hotel experience includes a position as general manager at the Sharm El Sheikh Marriot Resort in Egypt, as well as managing properties in Doha and Dubai.

Bringing his international experience home, Catlin will ensure that Hard Rock Hotels’ renowned reputation for world-class service, exceptional food and live music is delivered in London.

Commenting on his appointment, Catlin said: “I’m honoured to take on the role of hotel manager at Hard Rock Hotel London, which I’m confident will become one of the capital’s hottest hotels.

“Our two vibrant bars and lively Hard Rock Cafe are set to be destinations in their own right - for guests, tourists and Londoners alike.

“By overseeing the hotel’s entire operation, I will be responsible for ensuring each and every guest staying in our 1,000 bedrooms is getting the rock star treatment. I can’t wait to get started.”
