The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced that the anticipated Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Conference (CHTC), due to take place June 1-3 in Barbados, has been cancelled because registration numbers have been too low.

CHTA said in a statement: “It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Conference (CHTC) scheduled for June 1st – 3rd in Barbados.”

“With less than two weeks out the registration numbers were deemed too low to have resulted in a conference with the substance and character we had envisioned.”

The statement adds: “Continuing with CHTC would have resulted in disappointment and lack of value for those that had paid to attend, and an unsatisfactory audience for the high quality speakers we had committed to deliver the program.”
