ATLANTA, July 1, 2002—Delta Shuttle today extended its industry-leading “20 Minutes or 20,000 Miles” check-in to gate guarantee, and triple-miles bonus, until August 30, 2002. Delta Shuttle, which already guarantees that customers will have a seat or receive a free ticket, continues to be the only shuttle carrier to offer a check-in to gate guarantee.

The Delta Shuttle “20 Minutes or 20,000 Miles” promotion guarantees that customers traveling Monday through Friday between Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C., will arrive at the gate 20 minutes or less after completion of ticket counter or self-service kiosk check-in, or receive 20,000 bonus miles in Delta’s SkyMiles program. SkyMiles members also will earn triple bonus miles for each one-way flight during the promotion. See below for other important restrictions.

With all-leather seats and a spacious 36 inches of seat pitch, Delta Shuttle offers 17 nonstop, hourly departures between New York-LaGuardia and Boston-Logan International or Washington-Reagan National Monday through Friday. Delta Shuttle also offers 16 nonstop, hourly departures on the weekend - each with guaranteed seating for all passengers arriving at the gate at least three minutes prior to departure. If a scheduled flight is full, Delta Shuttle will either roll out another aircraft within 15 minutes or award the passenger a free Delta Shuttle ticket, pending air traffic control and weather. Reservations are not required. Delta SkyMiles members earn mileage by flying Delta, Delta Connection, Delta Express, Delta Shuttle and Delta`s airline partners.

Terms and Conditions: 20,000 Miles Guarantee: The Delta Shuttle “20 minutes or 20,000 miles guarantee” applies to customers who complete check-in with a Delta Shuttle agent or self-service check-in kiosk by 5 minutes after the hour and, despite reasonable efforts to do so, are unable to reach the gate in time to board the aircraft at 25 minutes after the hour when we close the boarding door for an on-time departure. These customers will be eligible to receive 20,000 bonus miles under Delta’s SkyMiles® program (customers departing on flights on the hour must complete check-in by 35 minutes after the previous hour). Customers taking longer than 20 minutes from completion of check-in to the gate will not be eligible for miles if they arrive at the gate in time for the next available departure to their destination based on their time of check-in. This offer valid Monday-Friday only starting 7/1/02 ending 8/31/02. Does not apply in an irregular operation situation due to weather, government-mandated security actions, or other circumstances out of Delta`s control. This offer does not include customers traveling on Youth/Children’s Shuttle fares (fare basis: HLJRPASS), customers traveling on Delta Flightpack Youth/Senior Booklets (Fare basis: KFLTPAK4 and KFLTPAK8) or industry discounts. Also does not include customers traveling on SkyMiles award tickets. The award of 20,000 bonus miles is the exclusive remedy under the guarantee. In no event shall Delta’s liability exceed the award of miles. Miles received under this promotion are bonus miles and are not counted as base miles toward elite status. Triple Miles Offer: You must be a SkyMiles member to take advantage of this offer. To qualify for triple miles, you must purchase and fly a paid flight on qualifying Delta Shuttle routes between 6/1/02 and 6/30/02. You will receive triple the actual miles flown. A qualifying flight is one Delta Shuttle flight taken with a fare that is eligible for frequent flyer mileage credit. Your bonus miles will appear automatically on your SkyMiles statement.
