Dominica
is excited that Digicel, the region’s fastest growing mobile
telecoms provider and soon to begin operations in Dominica,
has signed on to be the platinum
sponsor of the 9th Annual World Creole Music Festival. With their sponsorship,
Digicel will be the
official provider of telecommunications equipment throughout the event and
has
made a considerable cash donation to support the preparation of the venue and
the marketing and promotion of the Festival.

A spokesman from Digicel stated that their level of sponsorship,
“reflects the Company’s confidence and support for the Festival in terms
of its
quality and the overall impact it has had on the lives of Dominicans and the
region over the past nine years.”

Other
sponsors of the Festival include Caribbean Star Airlines, French Embassy,
Tropical Shipping, RCI, Dominica Broadcasting Station and Kairi FM radio
station.

The World Creole Music Festival is now in
its ninth year and is one of the region’s premier music festivals, attracting
thousands of visitors to The Nature Island of the Caribbean.
