Following several months of testing at the Sandals Beaches’ Negril’s resort in Jamaica, Sandals Resort International has agreed to install Cyber Oasis lobby email terminals in fourteen of their popular resorts for families and couples in Jamaica. Cyber Oasis completed installation of all the facilities earlier this year.
Cyber Oasis differentiates itself from most high-speed Internet providers, as it doesn’t sell Internet connections and also doesn’t cater primarily to business travelers. The five-year-old company focuses on leisure travelers who don’t carry a laptop or other portable computer when traveling, but still expect to find an informal digital oasis at their resort or hotel to be able to email and chat with their friends, families and business associates while vacationing.
The Cyber Oasis solutions are delivered in the form of lobby email terminals (kiosks), business center terminals and also turnkey terminals for Internet cafés and guestrooms. These solutions enable hoteliers to provide unsupervised email access to their guests 24/7 in any public area or guestroom. The company also designs and builds fully customized lobby kiosks and Internet café furniture.
