Marriott Hotels Install VendingMiser

USA Technologies announced today its VendingMiser energy management
solution was being installed in Marriott hotels to help the hotel chain
achieve greater energy efficiency and lower energy costs. USA Technologies reported that a consignment of VendingMisers had recently
been installed in vending machines at two of Marriott’s prestigious hotels
located in San Jose, Texas—the Marriott Riverwalk and the Marriott
Rivercenter.

“The Marriott first converted several vending machines with VendingMisers
to test their performance, and after evaluating the cost saving benefits
for them, they decided to expand the program to all vending machines in
both hotels,” said John McLaughlin, Vice President of Sales, USA
Technologies.

The VendingMiser is one of a variety of energy management solutions
developed by USA Technologies that significantly lower energy consumption
in vending machines, coolers, snack machines and other commercial
equipment. Tests have shown the VendingMiser has the capability of
reducing energy costs by almost half, saving as much as $150 a year per
vending machine.

“We are excited that a leading hotel chain such as Marriott recognizes the
energy saving ability of our VendingMiser product, and is increasing its
orders,” said Cecil Ledesma, Vice President and Channel Manager for
Hospitality and Travel, USA Technologies. “USA Technologies energy
management products have been a terrific compliment to the other product
we offer to the hospitality industry. Currently more then 600 hotels are
using our Vending and SnackMiser energy management products, our self
service Business Express(R) business centers and our cashless e-Port(R)
service.”

Among other hotels already installing USA Technologies’ EnergyMiser energy
management products are Hilton, Best Western, Doubletree, Four Seasons,
Hampton Inn, LaQuinta, Radisson, Omni and more.
