Emirates has opened up a new career opportunity for UAE nationals with the launch of a training programme in finance administration. This follows in the footsteps of the highly successful Commercial Managers training scheme.
The new initiative is a two-year programme open to UAE nationals with a Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma. They will gain experience in all areas of finance and go on to become Finance Managers based at destinations across the ever-expanding Emirates network.

The programme, the result of collaboration between the Emirates Group’s National Development Unit and its Finance Department, is now underway and is also attracting more new graduates.

Nigel Hopkins, Senior Vice President Finance, said: “We have recognised the importance of developing young UAE nationals to hold critical positions in our offices at our destinations, hence the development of this new programme. I am quite sure that it will have the same success as the Commercial Managers programme, bringing new trainees in an ongoing cycle to serve the needs of our fast-growing airline.”

Fahad Al Hassawi, VP Employee Services, added: “This training programme is a well-rounded one that will turn fresh young graduates into competent managers running the airline’s finance administration with a high standard of professionalism and accuracy.”

The training programme in finance administration is the latest in a wide choice of national development programmes, which are available to holders of High School Certificates, Certificate Diplomas and HD/Bachelor degrees.
