Alamo Rent A Car launches Games 2 Go
Just in time for the official start of summer, Alamo Rent A Car is providing entertainment, fun and prizes for vacationing families through a new suite of social network-based games called Alamo Games 2 Go. Launched this week on Alamo’s Facebook page, Games 2 Go consists of four interactive games designed to be played on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vine.

Alamo is the first rental car brand to create social network-based games that capture vacation memories and provide participants with the opportunity to win prizes. Specifically, customers can play Games 2 Go now through Sept. 16, and enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win weekly prizes and a $5,000 grand prize.
“We created Games 2 Go to help families enjoy their time together while capturing and sharing their vacation memories on the social media platforms they already use every day,” said Rob Connors, assistant vice president of marketing for Alamo. “We can all remember playing the license plate game and ‘I Spy’ on our family vacations growing up, so at Alamo, we’re excited to introduce Games 2 Go as the next generation of games to enhance the family vacation experience.”
The Alamo Games 2 Go games include:
* Alamoding: Players can snap and share a picture of their family’s best “Alamo driving stance” in hilarious, off-the-beaten-path locations.
* PixPursuit: A photo-based scavenger hunt in which players seek out and photograph specific items from Alamo’s “Pursuit List.”
* SnapFamily: Players choose from a list of backdrops, and then snap pictures in front of each scene to create memorable family portraits.
* Alamovie: Players use the Vine app and their inner director skills to capture six-second moments that showcase the spirit of their summer travels.
Participants are asked to tag their photos and videos with #AlamoGames2Go and share them across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Vine. Players can enter the sweepstakes once per game, per day, and those who play all four games in one day earn a bonus entry; follow instructions in the Official Rules for the alternate method of entry.
Each week of the sweepstakes, one “destination kit” – which features items designed for families to use at the beach, a theme park, the mountains or a large city – will be awarded as well as three runner-up prizes. A winner of the $5,000 grand prize toward a “vacation after the vacation” will be selected in mid-September.
