ABTA boss to chair Vision Conference

John McEwan, ABTA chairman and Advantage chief executive is set to moderate the third annual WTM Vision Conference in London on May 25.

McEwan will chair a discussion of the UK outbound and inbound sectors. Expedia.co.uk and hotels.com EMEA head of marketing Matthew Walls has been added to the list of speakers at the half day event. Other confirmed speakers include Shearings chief executive Denis Wormwell, Tui specialist division managing director Clare Tobin and Royal Caribbean International UK and Ireland managing director Dominic Paul.

The event, which will take place at the CBI Conference Centre, will kick off with an overview of the global industry with Euromonitor International head of travel and tourism research Caroline Bremner profiling the organisation’s latest research, followed by a session on consumer spending trends.

WTM recently announced the expansion of the WTM Vision Conference into Europe and the Middle East in 2011.
This year, London conference will be supported by two new further WTM Vision Conference events; the first in Milan, Italy on April 14 and the second at WTM’s sister exhibition Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, UAE on May 3.
