TTI appoints new Chairman

Travel Technology Initiative has appointed its first new Chairman in over 20 years.  Peter Dennis has taken over the role from former Chairman, Tony Allen, who has stepped down following his retirement from working in the travel industry.

As Managing Director of Time Communications Group and a renowned e-commerce distribution practitioner within the travel industry, Peter will guide the organisation through a period of re-vitalisation that will see TTI raise its profile and grow its membership base.

Peter stated, “I am very excited to be taking on this role.  Never has technology been more critical to the travel industry and TTI has a major role to play in leading pan-industry technology projects and promoting the understanding of I.T. in travel.  TTI is unique in being the only non-commercial organisation that can involve itself in travel technology projects for the benefit of the whole industry.  I am very much looking forward to playing my part in helping TTI to become the premier travel trade organisation advancing the cause of I.T.”

He continued, “Through our conferences and forums, my aim is for TTI to give the travel industry vital education and guidance on how best to capitalise on the latest technology such as social media and mobile apps.  As TTI does not seek to make a profit we can do this in a way that is eminently affordable to all travel companies that join the organisation and participate in TTI events.”
