Emirates expands A380 network

Emirates has said it planned to expand its A380 network to include services to Hong Kong.

The Dubai-based airline said Hong Kong would become its 11th destination for the superjumbo.

Emirates has 12 A380s in service with a further 78 on order.

It said it would run a daily flight to Hong Kong via Bangkok, the Thai capital, from October 1.

The carrier has been operating services to Hong Kong since 1991 and currently has two daily flights, one non-stop and one via Bangkok.
