GuestHouse International Honors Outstanding Franchisees

Atlanta, GA- GuestHouse International Franchise Systems recently announced the winners of their annual Awards of Excellence, highlighting exceptional performance by franchisees. The recipients were recognized at the recent regional GuestHouse International Franchise Owners’ Conventions in Irvine, California and Atlanta, Georgia.
The President’s Award, GuestHouse International’s most prestigious honor, is based on excellence in customer satisfaction, quality assurance, marketing and operations. The winner of this award is always a visionary and a true pioneer in the hospitality industry. This year’s West Coast winner was Gary Hong for his Santa Clara, California hotel. Al Pappalardo of J-MAC Investments, LLC received the award at the East Coast conference for his Methuen, Massachusetts hotel.


The Award of Excellence for Franchise Services was given to properties that best exemplify a high level of participation and utilization of GuestHouse International corporate programs and services. The West Coast award was presented to the Oceanside, California property. Franchisees Shantu and Mona Patel were on hand to accept the award for the hotel. The East Coast award was given to Ben and Lisa Thompson of Thompson Development, LLC for their Camden, Tennessee property.


The GuestHouse International Quality Assurance Award was presented to the properties that best illustrate consistency of the product - including quality, cleanliness and customer service. George Swift of Western Steel accepted the award on the West Coast for their Miles City, Montana property. At the East Coast Conference, Fred Monahan accepted the award for his South Haven, Michigan property.


The Award for Marketing Excellence is given to the properties that display marketing expertise and participation both in using GuestHouse International marketing programs and in creating and implementing unique marketing strategies and initiatives at the property level. Mike Wang and Vicki Arreguin from VenQuest Hotel Group accepted the West Coast award for their Long Beach, California hotel. The East Coast award was given to Jerry Wofford for his Tuscaloosa, Alabama GuestHouse International Hotel and Suites.
