Northwest Airlines is offering a 1,000 mile discount to its WorldPerks members who use Northwest’s Frequent Flyer Center on the carrier’s web site at www.nwa.com to book their award travel between April 1, and July 31, 1999. For example a trip at the 20,000 mile award level will require just 19,000 miles.

“Our recent upgrades to nwa.com have made it even easier to use,” said Jim Conway, Northwest Airlines director passenger marketing. “Members can quickly complete their award travel transaction, check their mileage account balance, and learn about other great offers from our travel partners.”

On-line enrollment for the Northwest Airlines WorldPerks program is now available and takes just moments for a new member to receive their WorldPerks account number and a temporary membership card.
