Le Meridien Penina to Play Host to Portuguese Open

  As official venue and sponsor of the 2004 PGA Portuguese Open, Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort is offering a special package which includes admission to the prestigious tournament, valid from 24th March to 07th April 2004.Based on a minimum five-night stay, the package is priced at Euros 1,050 per room (double occupancy) and Euros 825.00 per room (single occupancy). One child up to 11 years can be accommodated in an extra bed, sharing the room with two adults.

The 2004 Portuguese Open marks the ninth time the prestigious event will take place at Le Meridien Penina Golf & Resort. The Open will be played on the magnificent Henry Cotton designed, par 72 Championship course. According to the PGA European Tour, 152 professional players are taking part in the tournament, vying for a purse totalling Euros 1,250,000 in prize money.
The title sponsor of the event is the Algarve Regional Tourism board. The tournament will enjoy more than 300 hours of live and tape delayed worldwide TV coverage.
