Aqua grows Hawaiian hotel portfolio

Hawaii’s leading full-service hotel management company, Aqua Hotels & Resorts, is to expand its already impressive portfolio with the addition of two new properties.

The Queen Kapiolani Hotel in Waikiki and the Pagoda Hotel in the heart of Honolulu bring Aqua Hotels and Resorts’ property tally up to a total of 16, spanning across the Hawaiian Islands.

Already established as one of Hawaii’s premier guest spots, the 19 storey, 312-room Queen Kapiolani Hotel is located on the serene eastern end of Waikiki and just a block away from Waikiki Beach.

Perfect for families, groups and couples alike, guests can relax by the third-floor pool and sundeck or enjoy a cocktail or two at the Kulana Terrace Restaurant and Bar. The Queen Kapiolani Hotel offers a range of rooms with private lanai and magnificent views as standard.

“We’re delighted with the new properties, each has individual charm and character,” says Bill Henderson, Aqua’s VP of Development. “As a group, we’re growing and it’s great to start the year on the right foot. We’re extremely proud of our hotel portfolio; we have hotel offerings to suit all budgets and needs.”

The 359-room Pagoda Hotel in Honolulu is ideal for singles, couples and families with its two swimming pools and a Japanese-inspired water garden complete with cascading waterfall and colourful koi carp. The hotel features two large function spaces capable of catering events from 40 to 400 guests.

Additionally, Aqua Hotels & Resorts’ contract with the Waikiki Beachside Hotel expired, effective 1 January 2011. Reservations will not be effected.

Aqua Hotels & Resorts is a full-service management company founded in 2001 by Hawaii hotelier Mike Paulin.  On five of the Hawaiian Islands there are 16 properties within the group ranging from full resorts to the Aqua Boutique and Lite Collections.
