American Airlines Cargo expands Business ExtraA program

American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) today unveiled its redesigned Business ExtrAA® program, which allows nearly all cargo customers to earn travel awards for booking cargo shipments. For every shipment on American Airlines, regardless of the size or booking method, eligible AA Cargo customers earn points that can be redeemed for travel-related awards such as airline travel certificates, upgrades, and Admirals Club® memberships or passes. Previously, the program only rewarded customers for booking their shipments online.

“At American Airlines Cargo we are focused on maintaining and rewarding customer loyalty.  We believe the enhanced Business ExtrAA program for AA Cargo provides an excellent way to add value and to let our customers know how much we appreciate their business,” said Dave Brooks, President - American Airlines Cargo Division.

For every $40,000 USD in eligible shipping revenue on American Airlines, customers will earn 2,000 points – the equivalent of a PlanAAhead® Award for the Continental U.S., Canada, and Mexico in Economy Class.  In addition, customers will earn 20 bonus points for the company’s express freight product, Expeditefs, plus five bonus points for making their bookings online. Eligible AA Cargo customers can earn up to 200,000 points per calendar year. Other program terms and conditions apply.  For more information and full program details visit www.AACargo.com.
