Conferma, the expert in travel and expense reconciliation and settlement technology, and AirPlus International, the award winning travel payment provider, have formed a partnership offering travel management companies (TMCs) and hotel booking agencies (HBAs) a new automated payment solution for hotel direct billing - The AirPlus Conferma Hotel Settlement Solution. The new product will be available to AirPlus’ UK customers, via their chosen TMC or HBA, from the end of April, 2010.
The AirPlus Conferma Hotel Settlement Solution is essentially a virtual card, whereby a unique, virtual AirPlus MasterCard number is generated for each individual hotel booking made irrespective of the booking platform used. The hotel booking is billed back to the virtual card by the hotel property triggering an automatic payment and reconciliation process. Every hotel booking can be identified and tracked from conception through to final settlement and audit.
Using The AirPlus Conferma Hotel Settlement Solution, each hotel booking will be able to capture additional data such as the customer’s cost centre, budget codes and employee ID, thus allowing for easy reconciliation of hotel spend and seamless data integration into the customer’s financial system. Manual intervention can be eliminated and the whole process offers increased transparency for audit and policy compliance control.
The solution can be seamlessly integrated into front and back office systems of TMCs and HBAs, giving them the opportunity of offering an automated bill back solution to their customers, whilst at the same time eliminating the need to arrange for hotel credit arrangements or assume additional credit risk.
