Tourism Ireland has created a new online film to promote Galway 2020 around the world.

The film includes interviews with some of the team at Galway 2020 – including creative director Helen Marriage, Paul Fahy from the Galway International Arts Festival and Garry Hynes from the Druid Theatre Company – telling prospective international visitors what to expect in Galway when they visit next year.

It also features footage of Galway city and country, as well as a wonderful aerial performance by a French company called Gratte Ciel, in Eyre Square.

Over the coming months, Tourism Ireland will be pulling out all the stops to highlight Galway 2020 to its ‘culturally curious’ audience around the world.

The organisation’s message is that Galway 2020 will offer international holidaymakers a unique cultural and artistic experience.
