San Francisco International Airport prepares for British return

San Francisco International Airport has marked the long-awaited return of Brits to its arrivals hall by producing a tongue-in-cheek ‘welcome back’ video.

The work, which was shot last week in airport, features airport staff, including airport director Ivar Satero, humorously preparing for the return of UK passengers.

The airport is a major US gateway for UK travellers with the UK representing the third top overseas market for San Francisco with over 1,500 passengers daily each way pre-pandemic.

The uplifting video represents the symbolic return of UK visitors to the US after 19 months of border closures as the Golden Gate City welcomes their return.
