Britain moves up international tourism rankings ahead of key year
The image of the United Kingdom overseas has improved significantly over the last year, driven by greater perceptions of British culture, its people and its appeal as a tourist destination. The findings have been published in the latest Anholt-GFK Roper Nation Brands Index and come ahead of a crucial year for the destination.

As plans for the ‘flagship’ event on the River Thames were announced today for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations a heritage-inspired pass – the Diamond Pass - allowing free or discounted entry to 60 famous castles, stately homes with royal connections and other attractions - one of each year of the Queen’s reign - is to be launched by VisitBritain, the national tourism agency.
