Great Lakes begins preparations for Ryder Cup 2016

The Great Lakes is getting ready to once again welcome one of the world’s greatest team sporting events. Minnesota will be home to the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska in the Minnesota River Valley from September 27th to October 2nd 2016. Hazeltine was founded by former president of the United States Golf Association Totten Heffelfinger.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, owner of Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain, announced earlier it has entered into an agreement to acquire Big Bear Mountain Resorts in Big Bear Lake, California. Big Bear Mountain Resorts includes both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, the largest and most popular of southern California’s ski and snowboard resorts that host nearly 800,000 winter visits annually.
