The Great Lakes is getting ready to once again welcome one of the world’s greatest team sporting events. Minnesota will be home to the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska in the Minnesota River Valley from September 27th to October 2nd 2016. Hazeltine was founded by former president of the United States Golf Association Totten Heffelfinger.

The Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau has updated its visitor profile with an economic impact study that measures and tracks tourism’s contributions to the city. The visitor profile study focuses on visitor activity for 2014 and also compares results and trends to 2007 when the study was last conducted.
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area to acquire Big Bear Mountain Resorts in California
Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, owner of Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain, announced earlier it has entered into an agreement to acquire Big Bear Mountain Resorts in Big Bear Lake, California. Big Bear Mountain Resorts includes both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, the largest and most popular of southern California’s ski and snowboard resorts that host nearly 800,000 winter visits annually.

It has been announced that Minnesota will host the Super Bowl LII. The February 2018 contest will be held in the new Minnesota Stadium set to open in 2016. The bid was cantered on the theme ‘Built for the Bold’, highlighting the new stadium as an iconic centrepiece.
