Travel comparison website travelsupermarket is brightening the gloom of January with some early summer sunshine this year, with the launch a new TV and radio advertising campaign, along with new look, sunshine logo and an iPhone app. It is the first time in two years the brand has been on TV in January – the key season for summer holiday bookings and it’s also the first time the brand has redesigned its visual identity.

Brits are losing valuable days of annual leave because they’re too anxious to take the time off that they’re entitled to. New research by travel comparison website TravelSupermarket has found that only 75 per cent* of all full-time British workers took their entire holiday entitlement over the past 12 months while six per cent still had seven days or more left in the bank when it expired.

New research from TravelSupermarket has revealed that car hire is now up to 45 per cent cheaper than two years ago for key holiday periods in 2012. Car hire prices across Malaga, Alicante, Murcia, Palma, Tenerife and Faro all saw a drop in price from 2010 across Easter and Whit Week, with six of the eight also offering significant discounts in August.
