Singapore Airlines signs codeshare deal with Air France-KLM
Singapore Airlines and regional subsidiary SilkAir have signed a memorandum of understanding with Air France-KLM to codeshare on each other’s flights with effect from April 2017. Under the agreement, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Singapore Airlines will add its ‘SQ’ designator code to Air France-operated flights beyond Paris to ten destinations - Aberdeen, Bordeaux, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Marseille, Newcastle, Nice and Toulouse.
Singapore Airlines announces 39 plane Boeing order
Singapore Airlines has announced its commitment to purchase 20 777-9s and 19 787-10 Dreamliners from Boeing. The national carrier and 787-10 launch customer also announced its recommitment for its previous order for 30 787-10 airplanes.
Singapore Airlines to bring A350 to Manchester routes
Singapore Airlines will launch its new Airbus A350-900 aircraft on routes out of Manchester serving both Singapore and Houston. The flight will launch on January 17th next year and will be the first commercial A350 flight from Manchester Airport.

Airbus delivers 10,000th commercial aircraft
Airbus today celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th aircraft - an A350-900 for Singapore Airlines. The milestone event was marked by a special ceremony in Toulouse hosted by Airbus Group chief executive Tom Enders and attended by Goh Choon Phong, chief executive of Singapore Airlines.
Singapore Airlines launches Capital Express service
Singapore Airlines has launched its new ‘Capital Express’ service, linking Singapore for the first time with the capital cities of both Australia and New Zealand. The inaugural flight, SQ291, departed Singapore Changi Airport at 23:00 last night and arrived at Canberra Airport at 08:15 local time this morning.
Singapore Airlines casts latest shadow over Airbus A380
Singapore Airlines will not renew the lease on its first Airbus A380 casting a further shadow over the future of the world’s largest jumbo jet. The double-decker jet was launched in 2007, with Singapore Airlines the first customer. However, the carrier has decided not to renew its ten-year lease on the plane when it expires in 2017.

AeroMobile brings mobile connectivity to Singapore Airlines
In-flight connectivity provider AeroMobile has launched its first 3G connected Airbus A350 with Singapore Airlines. Singapore Airlines’ inaugural long-haul flight for the newly-connected aircraft took place from Singapore to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
