Singapore Airlines has renewed its full-content distribution agreement with Sabre Travel Network, meaning all Sabre-connected travel agents will continue to have access to all Singapore Airlines’ fares, schedules and inventory.

The introduction of these 15 iconic console games, which previously were available only on PlayStation, Windows and iPhone platforms, will now be offered for the first time on an IFE platform.
Tourism Australia and Singapore Airlines join forces
Tourism Australia and Singapore Airlines have partnered on a national advertising campaign inviting British holidaymakers to experience Australia for their next long haul trip. The UK-wide campaign, which runs from February 7th to March 7th 2013, uses TA’s ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ global creative and includes multi-channel TV and online advertising.
New UK manager for Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines has confirmed the appointment of Wilson Yong as general manager for the United Kingdom & Ireland. Yong replaces Phee Teik Yeoh who has been posted back to head office in Singapore, having previously held the position since May 2010.
Singapore Airlines signs codeshare with Virgin America
From December 19th, Singapore Airlines customers will be able to enjoy seamless travel to more cities in the United States through a codeshare agreement with Virgin America. Under the agreement, SIA will add its ‘SQ’ code to Virgin America-operated flights serving Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, Seattle and Washington DC, from the SIA West Coast gateway points of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Singapore Airlines deepens ties to Australia
Singapore Airlines has signed agreements with six tourism organisations in Australia in line with its ongoing efforts to promote tourism to the country. The agreements are for a period of between two and four years, with the total investment for the current financial year amounting to more than A$5 million.
Singapore Airlines expands Virgin Australia codeshare deal
Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia have announced the expansion of their codeshare agreement to cover further destinations in Australia, Asia and Europe. Codesharing has been extended with immediate effect to all of Virgin Australia’s domestic destinations, offering SIA customers access to 32 Australian cities.
Singapore Airlines links with Star Alliance partner Aegean Airlines
From December Singapore Airlines customers will be able to fly to the Greek cities of Athens and Thessaloniki through a code-share agreement with Star Alliance partner Aegean Airlines. Under the agreement, SIA will add its ‘SQ’ code to Aegean-operated flights serving the Greek capital Athens from Frankfurt, London, Milan and Munich, as well as to flights serving Greece’s second-largest city Thessaloniki from Frankfurt and Munich.

Lufthansa Systems today announced that Singapore Airlines will continue to optimise its route planning using the leading flight planning solution Lido/Flight. Lido/Flight uses a variety of factors to calculate the optimal route for an aircraft. This can decrease an airline’s fuel costs by up to five percent.
