Ryanair welcomes latest Boeing 737-800 milestone
Boeing and Ryanair have marked the latest milestone in their partnership, with the delivery of the airline’s 400th Next-Generation 737-800. The Irish low-cost carrier operates the largest fleet of Next-Generation 737-800s in the world. “The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with its industry leading technical reliability and seating capacity, has been the foundation upon which our successful and safe growth has been built upon, since we took our first delivery in March 1999,” said Ryanair chief operations officer, Michael Hickey.

Ryanair’s corporate jet charter offers a customised Boeing 737-700 jet with 60 business class, reclining, leather seats. The aircraft will be crewed by Ryanair pilots and cabin crews, with a maximum flying time of six hours.

European low-cost carriers report bumper January
Ryanair has released January traffic statistics revealing traffic grew 25 per cent to 7.5 million customers, when compared to last year, while load factors rose five per cent to points to 88 per cent. At the same time low-cost rival easyJet said it carried 4,276,821 in January, up 6.3 per cent from last year.
O’Toole takes over investor relations role at Ryanair
Ryanair has announced the appointment of Shane O’Toole as its head of investor relations, moving from his current role in Ryanair as an accountant in the finance team. Shane brings a depth of experience in finance and investor relations to his new role, having previously worked for financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald in Dublin.
