Franck Arnold takes over the Balmoral, Edinburgh
Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the appointment of Franck Arnold as general manager of the Balmoral in Edinburgh. Arnold, who will start in August, takes over from Ivan Artolli who was recently promoted to director of operations for the group’s properties in the UK, Belgium and Eastern Europe.
ATM 2011: Rocco Forte embarks on Arabian expansion
Legendary hotelier Sir Rocco Forte has announced plans to open a new hotel in Beirut. Speaking at Arabian Travel Market he said the opening comes part of a programme to open six properties in the Middle East over the next three years. Meanwhile Ritz-Carlton unveiled plans to increase properties in the Middle East to 24 by 2014.

Rocco Forte signs Luxor Hotel deal
Rocco Forte Hotels has announced it has entered into a contract to help refurbish and then operate the Luxor Hotel in Egypt from 2013 as a luxury hotel. The hotel is owned by the Egyptian Government through two of its departments, the Egyptian Endowments Authority and Egyptian General Company for Tourism and Hotels.
