Qantas set to resume A380 operations

Qantas has confirmed it will restart Airbus A380 operations on Saturday, some three weeks after an engine blow-out caused the Australian airline to ground its fleet. Qantas Flight QF32 was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore earlier this month following an explosion in one of its four Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines.

Human ingenuity may have been all that saved Qantas Flight QF32 earlier this month, according to the Australian and International Pilots Association. The Airbus A380 aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Singapore after one of its four Rolls-Royce engines disintegrated on takeoff.
