A new boss for Club Med for the UK and Nordics has been named to succeed Estelle Giraudeau who has left the business after almost nine years in the role. Nicolas Bresch was previously marketing director for the all-inclusive operator for northern Europe, working alongside Giraudeau.
Package holiday bookings up as holidaymakers snap up heat-wave deals
Online travel agent Directline Holidays reports package holiday bookings are up for summer 2013 following a surge of last minute bookings as holidaymakers snap up reduced price holidays, many with discounts of up to 50%, caused by Britain’s heat wave.
Med package holidays a third cheaper
Package holidays to European destinations are being cut by up to a third as tour operators bid to lure cash-strapped customers. Family favourites Cyprus, Spain and Turkey have experienced the biggest cuts, whilst the fall of the euro against sterling has led to budgets in resort now stretching further.
